Finally the countdown is over, our dearest Jayce Samara turns one year old today! Yaay! It’s one year of God’s loving kindness and faithfulness to our family.
To our first baby girl – our dearest Sam, you are an answered prayer, a beautiful miracle! We waited three years before we decided to have another baby and truly you are God’s perfect timing. We didn’t asked the Lord to specifically give us a baby girl yet, we don’t deny the fact that we desire to have a girl (since we had your kuya Stephen as our first born). Your coming is so amazing – I can’t even mustered the words to describe how I feel!
Sam, we want you to know that we bless God everyday for gifting our family with you. You might came in this most challenging times where everything seems uncertain and the world in great crisis due to the pandemic but you are a constant reminder of the greatness of God. We named you “Jayce Samara” meaning: “Jayce – Healer”; “Samara – guardian or protected by God”. For truly, we have experienced healing and protection all throughout our journey.
Today, as you mark your first year, we declare that you shall grow to fulfill your purpose on earth. You continue to flourish and shine for that is what you are made for. We pray that you will be kind, compassionate and loving. You will do whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, and whatever is admirable – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy, you will think about such things. You will have an overwhelming desire and passion to know Jesus and make Him known. You will trust in Him and allow all of your hopes in Christ alone. We pray that God will teach you to be pure and holy before His eyes. He will help you follow His ways as we, your parents lead by example, all by His grace. And you will seek Him with all your heart, soul, mind and strength, for nothing and no one in this world can satisfy us.
Anak, together with your kuya and this little bum inside your mom, you were the best things that has ever happened to our family. We pray that this joy you all have brought into our lives knows no bounds. Keep growing and glowing, our beautiful daughter! Happy First Birthday!
