Our dearest sweetheart, Aquila,
Today we celebrate your 1st birthday. Oh, how time flies so fast, Mama can still remember how you move and swim inside my belly and that 1st night we had you – sleepless and tired yet overjoyed.
Thank you for a full year of a roller coaster ride. From the moment we knew you were coming and up to the unexpected and puzzling things we do as first-time parents has always been an adventure for us. And it will always be this way for the rest of our lives.
Yes, not every day is beautiful, but you are. You are the best thing that has ever happened to us. You are perfect for us. You are the reason we are awaken in the middle of the night and you are the reason why we wake up and rise every morning. You are the reason our tanks are empty and the same reason it’s full.
Truth is, we want you to stay little yet we also want to watch you grow. We love watching you reach all your milestones and see you become the person you dreamt of. ‘Nak, this world can be scary and confusing. But always remember that you have your Mama and Papa who prays for you and will always fight for you. We won’t always be beside you to protect you but know that our minds and hearts will always be with you and our prayers will always be for you.
We love you more than words can say. More than “to the moon and back”, more than “to infinity and beyond”, and more than “forever and ever”. We will always be your home and you will always be our ground.
